Janet Nina Esagoff, managing member of ELG is a self-proclaimed "Licensed Problem Solver" who strives to do Law. Differently. She concentrates her law practice in the areas of Real Estate, Business Law and Civil Litigation in NYS Supreme Courts and Federal Courts, including contract disputes, real estate claims, corporate and partnership disputes, as well as general counsel to individuals and businesses. A litigator at the helm of her own firm, Janet has extensive experience in foreclosure practice, loan modifications, and loan workouts as well as quiet title actions. She has successfully conducted trials in NYS Supreme Court and argued appeals before the Second Dept.

Prior to the law, Janet owned and operated a retail/manufacturing fashion enterprise based in Nassau and Westchester Counties. Given her background as a successful entrepreneur, Janet is able to offer pragmatic business advice to her clients.

Janet is regularly recognized for her career accomplishments, including being honored by Super Lawyers from 2013-2023, an honor bestowed upon only 5% of licensed attorneys in New York State. She is also peer- rated by Martindale Hubbell as a Client Champion and a Top Rated 10.0 Attorney by Avvo.

Janet is an active alumna with Hofstra Law School, where she has taught first and second year law students litigation and trial skills as a Special Instructor. Janet is a regular student mentor with the Nassau County Bar Association and at Hofstra Law.

In 2021 Janet founded "Destination: Great Neck", a grassroots community organization serving the Great Neck peninsula. Janet is credentialed as a Certified Life Coach and also maintains her Real Estate Broker license. Janet is knowledgeable in all things pertaining to real estate development , construction, and real estate management.
